Finca la Nogaleda is located in Ronda, Southern Andalucia, Spain. An idyllic 100 years old traditional Spanish Farmhouse, nestled in Rondas famous protected Tajo Valley. Once a small walnut farm now lovingly restored from a ruin and available as a holiday home for rental.
Hidden amongst its many mature walnut and fruit trees, this stunning farmhouse has been lovingly restored by its owners (an experienced carpenter/joiner/ property developer) from a ruin and used as a family home where the owners had their children and lived for many years, now using it as a holiday home, and giving the farmhouse a home from home feel.
The Farmhouse looks down across its 2 hectares of land where the invitingly refreshing swimming pool, a sizeable 10m x 4 m, sits central surrounded by grass and fruit and olive trees. The views from the pool are stunning, the imposingly beautiful chalk ridge where the bustling city of Ronda sits above and thrives, but is unseen and heard, and in the other direction breathtaking mountain landscapes.
In a nearby corner of the land is a grassed area sheltered by the mature trees for children to play on swings, trampoline and hammocks and even a small wigwam for hours of fun.
A two minute drive up the winding cobbled Tajo road takes you to the bottom of the old town of Ronda into the district of Barrio de San Francisco. With its beautiful square and fountain this is indeed the ultimate immersion into authentic Spanish life, where Rodenos flock to restaurants and bars and each restaurant has its tables and chairs out in the square to enjoy those long summer evenings.
Ronda and its surroundings offer many activities from horse riding schools in the Tajo valley, on the farmhouse doorstep, to hiking, mountain biking, caving, rock climbing, vine yard tour and wine tasting, golf, walking and other extreme sports.
If you are looking to explore further a field a 45 minute drive takes you down to Marbella on the Costa del Sol coastline, and only 1hour 15minute drive will get you to Malaga Airport and the City itself. The cities Granda and Sevilla are again easily reached approximately 2 hours away.
